Champions were Crowned!

Well we kicked off the night by announcing that Primal Jerky went through a name change and is now called The Rage Jerky Mini Stocks and they kicked off the night. We had fourteen cars check in on the night so we had two heat races and picking up wins in the heats where the 22A of Rustin Allen and the 18L of Justin Esparza. When it came time for the A Feature just by starting the race the 13D of Dylan DoDo Bird Doty had the points championship all wrapped up with a great year of racing from that young man. (needs to toughen up some) The winner was the 775T of Titus Bortzfield who once he got in the car and figured it out has proven he is going to be tough to beat in 2024 season. Second went to the 36 of Brett Barber who also looked really good once they got the car put back together after an early season crash. The point champion ended up coming in 3rd after starting 6th on the night in the A Feature and the 22A of Rustin Allen came in fourth and rounding out the top 5 was the 18L of Justin Esparza.

BSB Manufacturing USRA B-Mods had only 10 cars checking in on the night. B-Mods only had one heat race and picking up the Heat race win was the 97B of Bob Bills. Then when the A Feature hit the track all it was all Brian McGowen who started on the front row and as soon as the green flag dropped he took the lead and never looked back as the 22 was super fast on the night. The points battle was between the 17 of Henry Chambers and the MC2 of Clint McFadden. The MC2 was victorious on the the season points as he picked up the Championship in 2023 and did a lot of great things at 81 Speedway as he recently picked a weekly show win. We saw Henry Chambers on Saturday night pick up a 2nd place finish. Peyton Burkhart in the 13 car picked up a 3rd place finish on the night and your Champion Clint McFadden in the MC2 take home the 4th place spot after starting 8th in the A Feature. Rounding out your top 5 was the 9 of Slade Mohr who also had a great run after starting 10 on the night.

JLR Property Management 316 A-Mods was and exciting class as they had 18 cars check in on the night. We saw our Champion of Logan Johnson in the 96 car have a few struggles early but was able to still be the champion in 2023 and salvaged his night by having to start 15th but ended up coming in 7th and won the Championship. Kendall Kemp was unable to challenge for the championship sidelined with a back injury. Logan had looked good all year long in the 96 car and said his plans for next year are to not points race but travel around and pick up wins. The A Feature did not disappoint as we saw the 164 of James Weve get out to an early lead but in the end Cooper Weis in the 29C catch him at the end of the race on a late restart and we saw some awesome slide jobs and a great cross overs and in the end James Weve ended up picking up the win. Cooper Weis finished 2nd and the 3rd place driver was the 11C of Chas Klinkner who had had some struggles through out the year but got the car going in the right direction here at the end of the season. Patrick McManus on maybe his last night of racing had a solid finish as he came in 4th on the night. The 60 of Cody Kretchmar came out on Saturday and took 5th.

Auto Tech Service Super Stocks had 17 cars check in on the night and a lot of them are getting ready for next weekend as they have a big Super Stock Special next Saturday. We had two heats for those guys and picking up heat race wins where the 42JR of Kenny Sweet in the 42JR and the 75 of Jerrod Reimer. Then when the A Feature rolled around the 5 of Jason McGehee was ready to pick up a win as he worked his way past the fast car of Jerrod Reimer to pick up his first win in 2023 in the Super Stocks. The driver who seems to always be super fast at 81 Speedway every time his car hits the track and that was the 75 of Jerrod Reimer taking 2nd. Kenny Sweet who has settled in very quickly in the Auto Tech Service Super Stock Class took 3rd in the 42JR. Your points Champion J.D. Eveland who needed to finish in front of the 36 of Chris Purkey to pick up a points championship got the job done as he ran a solid race and was super steady all year long in the Super Stock division as he came in 4th and picked up the 2023 championship. Rounding out your top 5 was the 134 of Alan Bevins.

Heyglassman.com Stock Cars had the highest car count of the night at they had 29 cars check in on Saturday night and as they always do they put on one heck of a show. We had a point battle going into the night at Clint Smith in the 12C had the lead but the 01X of Beau Davis was trying to catch up and hoping to pass the 12C. We had four heat races for the Stock Cars and the winners where the 202 of Kenny Ziegler, 4B of Boone Evans, 1 of Scott Miller and the 01X of Beau Davis. Had so many cars had to run a B Feature and it was a weird place for our points leader to be as the 12C of Clint smith was in it. Bringing home the win was the 67 of Austin Ramey and Clint Smith was right behind him as he came in 2nd and meant he would be in the A Feature. Boone Evans in the 4B got out to an early lead but then had some problems and ended up not finishing the race as we then saw Kenny Ziegler take over and not look back as he picked up the win. Kyler Kemp in the B00B car did an awesome job as he started 8th and ended up bringing home 2nd place and then there was Beau Davis as he came in 3rd in the 01X and needed the 12C do be behind him which he was but it was not enough spaces as Clint Smith came in 4th. Clint Smith drove the wheels of the car as he started 14th and showed that he really wanted this 4th championship in a row and that is exactly what he did as he became your 2023 Champion in the Heyglassman.com Stock Cars. Rounding out the top 5 was the 89 of Greg Schell.

The Final Class of the night was your Alternative Pest Management USRA Modifieds as they had 21 cars check in on the night which made them have 3 heat races and picking up wins in those was the 19SB of Lance Mari, 99T of T.J. Tolan, and the 52 of Ryan McAninch. When it came to the A Feature we saw the 19SB of Lance Mari jump out to an early lead trying to knock off the home town boy of Tyler Davis in the 65 but when they caught up to some lap traffic it caused problems for Mari and allowed the 65 of Tyler Davis to get by and then bring home the win so last years USRA National Champion now picked up a 2023 points Championship at 81 Speedway and now is in first place in the USRA National Points again. Lance Mari had a good race but ended up in the 2nd spot and we saw Chris Kratzer have a solid run in the 19R car as he finish 3rd. Flying Ryan McAninch ran a really clean race and stayed very consistent all year long as he brought home 4th and your final top 5 driver was the G3 of Brendon Gemmill.

Was a great night overall as we had some great racing and crowned our champions we hope to have you come out next week and catch our Double S Dirt Works Super Stock Special and our Power Wheels Special followed up by our Broadway Truck and Auto Twister City Enduro.
