Tyler County Speedway Releases 2021 Schedule
Highlighted by Castrol FloRacing Night in America & Hillbilly 100
The Hometown Racing Association, promoters of Tyler County Speedway in Middlebourne, WV are pleased to release the much anticipated and exciting action-packed schedule for 2021. On the heels of a shortened but successful covid mired season, speedway officials have been hard at work on a very impressive slate of action at America’s Baddest Bullring. Celebrating 47 years of continuous operation, the Bullring will offer up a speed buffet in 2021, as the tiny Middlebourne oval will be a hotbed of the nations elite racers chasing glory and big bucks on the high bank oval all summer long.
The Bullring will kick off late March with Test n’ Tune and conclude Labor Day weekend with the Mountain State traditional running of the ‘Granddaddy of Dirt Late Model Majors’, the Hillbilly 100. Twenty-four events will give fans and racers a uniquely diverse schedule at the Tyler County Fairground facility in Middlebourne, WV featuring a little something for everyone.
The schedule will kick start with the 47th Season Opener on Saturday Night, April 3rd followed by the Pennsylvania based Rush Night @ the Bullring on April 10th. An exciting new event slated for Thursday Night, April 15th will be the Castrol FloRacing Night in America featuring some of the nations best Super Late Model racers doing battle for the super cool $10,000 to win first prize.
Racing action will continue weekly on most Saturday nights all summer with a few Sundays scattered in highlighted by SEVERAL BIG EVENTS including:
• Saturday, April 24– the Fastrak Late Model Touring Series will make their 2020 debut at the Bullring for the always competitive $5,000 ‘Great American Late Model Race’.
• Saturday, May 1, the BRP Big Block Mod Tour will follow up a Friday Night stop at Ohio Valley Speedway with a Mountain State doubleheader at Americas Baddest Bullring.
• Sunday, May 30- We welcome the ‘Legends of the Ring’ as we feature three big shows on one incredible night including the fan favorite Super Late Topless 50, UMP Modified Dickson Classic and FASTRAK Eaton/Childers King of the Ring.
• Saturday, June 19th- We welcome the best open wheel Modified racers back to the Bullring for the $10,000 to win 7th Annual Mega 100 featuring the Renegades of Dirt Modified Tour.
• Monster Trucks will invade the Tyler County Speedway on Saturday Night, June 26th.
• Don’t miss the 33rd Annual Earl Hill Memorial slated for Saturday Night, July 17th and featuring the first ever visit by the Iron Man Late Model Series and paying $5,000 to win.
• The season and regions biggest event, the annual Hillbilly 100 returns on September 3-5 with three nights of action-packed racing featuring the $30,000 to win Lucas Oil Dirt Car Series.
Several fan favorite events adorn the jam-packed schedule including the traditional Autograph Night, Tammy Clegg Tribute, Free Night, Salute the Troops Patriot 200 & Fireworks, Bud Weigle Memorial, Workin’ Man World Championship and Hillbilly Qualifiers.
Several new additions are a welcome to the schedule for 2021 as well including the Steel Block Late Model Series paying an early season visit for the running of the 11th Annual Pat Herrick Memorial, several doubleheader weekends between the Bullring and the Valley including the popular BRP Big Block Modified Tour, $2,500 to win dueling Sportmod Battle Royales, and a pair of RT2Rumble events. A special Sunday Night ‘Feature Fest’ event & Bullring Booster Club Nostalgia Night are a couple of more new items to dot the schedule.

Built and opened in 1974 by the Tyler County Fair Association, Tyler County Speedway is a motorsports complex affectionately known as the ‘Bullring’ and features a ¼ mile high bank clay oval. The facility is promoted by the Hometown Racing Association, and located 3 ½ miles south of Middlebourne, WV on State Rt. 18 at the Tyler County Fairgrounds approximately an hour from Wheeling, Clarksburg & Parkersburg. Featuring a spacious scenic campground along the Middle Island Creek with hookups, shelters, playgrounds, showers and bathroom facilities among other amenities to enhance the racing experience at West Virginia’s premier motorsports venue. Tyler County Speedway’s weekly Saturday night racing program runs from April to September each year, featuring Super Late Models, FASTRAK Late Models, UMP Modifieds, EDGE Hotmods, Sportmods, Bullring Bombers and MWRA Mini Wedges.
