Weiss lands Top-10 finish in Thunderfest finale at Thunder Mtn.

Taking part in the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series doubleheader, Ricky Weiss made the trek to Thunder Mountain Speedway (Knox Dale, Pa.) on Friday night for the Thunderfest. After coming one spot shy of a transfer position in his heat with a fifth place outing, Weiss secured his spot into the opening night feature with a runner-up finish in his B-Main behind Cade Dillard. On Saturday afternoon, Ricky followed up the second fastest time in his group behind Mason Zeigler with a third place finish in his heat. Starting the $10,000-to-win finale in 11th, Weiss jumped up three spots in the 50-lapper to place eighth.

Ricky remains in second in the latest World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series point standings.
