Inside Line Promotions – SIX NATIONS, Ontario, Canada (Aug. 27, 2019) – Alex Hill is looking forward to returning to competition this weekend after rain canceled her scheduled race with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour last Saturday at Riverside International Speedway. It marked the third consecutive weekend without a race for Hill.

“I’m anxious to get back on the track,” she said. “It’s unusual for me to go this long without racing, especially in the summer. We’ve been showing improvement this year and I’d like to keep that momentum going.”

While last Saturday’s race was canceled early in the day, it wasn’t early enough to allow Hill to cancel her travel plans. After flying to Memphis the day before from Los Angeles, where she is a college student, Hill made the best of the weekend after getting together with her family.

“We watched the Dirt Cup on Saturday night and then we visited Graceland on Sunday morning before I flew back to L.A.,” she said.

Hill hopes for a busy racing weekend this week with ASCS National Tour events at 34 Raceway in West Burlington, Iowa, on Friday and a doubleheader at Lake Ozark Speedway in Eldon, Mo., scheduled for Saturday and Sunday.

While Hill will be making her first visit to 34 Raceway, she’s looking forward to returning to Lake Ozark Speedway, where she has shown improvement during each of her four races the last two years there. She has a track-best finish of 16th in the A Main in her most recent race at Lake Ozark Speedway in May.

“I’m looking forward to returning to Lake Ozark,” she said. “It’s a really nice track. There will probably be a lot of good competition like there was last year and we expect to do better this year.”
