Mack tops UCRA foes at Tazewell

Less than one week after racing to his first triumph of the 2021 season, Mack McCarter picked up his second win of the year on Friday night. The Tennessee racer registered the United Championship Racing Association (UCRA) Late Model victory at Tazewell Speedway.

The triumph in the Charles Trammell Memorial rewarded McCarter with a $2,500 prize for his performance in his McCarter Brothers Racing No. 51 Tennessee Homemade Wines/ Hidden Valley Cattle Ranch/ CVR Race Cars / Phantom Racing Engine Late Model.

“We were blessed with another one (victory) in 2021. I cannot thank everyone enough who helps. My wife and kids couldn’t be there, but they are still my biggest supporters. Thanks to my brother, mom, dad, Chip and Matt at CVR Race Cars, all of my crew, and all of my sponsors for all that they do for me,” McCarter said.

Friday night found Mack McCarter in action at Tazewell Speedway (Tazewell, Tenn.) for the United Championship Racing Alliance (UCRA) sanctioned Charles Trammell Memorial.

With 22 Late Models entered, Mack locked his spot into the main event with a runner-up finish in his heat race behind Aaron Guinn. Using lapped-traffic to his advantage, McCarter snuck past race-long pacesetter Aaron Guinn on the 15th lap and paced the field for the remaining 25 circuits to secure his second win of the season. He took the checkers ahead of Guinn, Josh Collins, Brandon Williams, and Kenny Kizzar to earn $2,500.

The win also marked the first of his career with the UCRA.
