Dover Extends Partnership With BAPS Motor Speedway For 2019
YORK HAVEN, Pa.: BAPS Motor Speedway and Dover International Speedway teamed up a year ago to bring their products to a new audience.
The result was a successful cross-promotion. It combined grass-roots racing with NASCAR, the United States’ No. 1 racing series, through community engagement at the track and a local elementary school.
That partnership will extend into 2019. BAPS Motor Speedway and Dover International have renewed their sponsorship agreement to help promote NASCAR to local fans and bring new fans to the sport.
“We are excited to partner with Dover International Speedway two years in a row,” BAPS Motor Speedway general manager Kolten Gouse said. “It’s a way to bring grass roots racing and NASCAR together for the better overall health of auto racing.
“The staff at Dover International Speedway has been great to work with, and it’s an honor to have them as partners during the 2019 season.”
Dover International Speedway was heavily involved with the Justin Snyder Salute to the Troops last August, which featured the All Star Circuit of Champions. Ironically, former NASCAR star Tony Stewart took the win.
This season, Dover International Speedway has upped the ante and will be involved in three nights of racing. The season opener on March 23rd will be Dover International Speedway Night. The Monster Mile will also be the presenting sponsor on the Firecracker 40 June 29th and is the title sponsor for the prestigious Gary Wolford Sportsman 100 September 14th.
Along with race sponsorship, Dover International Speedway will be involved in National Night out and the Monster Truck Mania weekend.
“Dover International Speedway sees the value in grass-roots racing, and specifically, dirt track racing in central Pennsylvania,” Gouse said. “They host NASCAR twice a year and have other big events, and we look forward to promoting their product and giving them an avenue to bring that product to our fans.”
BAPS Motor Speedway is a four-tenth of a mile, banked dirt track in York Haven, Pa. that features a variety of racing divisions, including Super Sportsman, Sprint Cars, Late Models, and Street Stocks. The speedway also hosts such national touring series as Tony Stewart’s Ollie’s Bargain Outlet All Star Circuit of Champions and United States Auto club.
