SSP Fan Appreciation Night Wins To Je. Schram, Winkler, Loomis, Myers, Brinster, Sayre, And A. Keller

Banks, Oregon- It would be one busy night on Saturday, June 8th, at Sunset Speedway Park. The “Banks Bullring” hosted the annual Fan Appreciation Night and a full pit area would complement the incredible racing. A whopping seven classes were in attendance including the IMCA Modifieds, Super Sports, Street Stocks, Pure Stocks/IMCA Hobby Stocks, Dwarf Cars, 4-Bees, and New Bees.

Vancouver, Washington native Jerry Schram got the job done in the IMCA Modifieds for his first win this year. Newberg’s Brian Winkler managed to cross the finish line first in the Outlaw Late Models for his first victory in the season. Craig Loomis, of Vancouver, Washington, paid a visit to victory lane for the second occasion in 2019 in the Street Stock ranks. The same could be said for Jacob Myers as the young man bested the Pure Stocks/IMCA Hobby Stocks once again.

A boat load of Dwarf Cars congregated at the ¼-mile clay oval and when the dust settled Jimmy Brinster, from St. Helens, got the job done for the first time in the current campaign at SSP. Taylor Sayre, out of Vancouver, Washington, became the newest victor in the 4-Bee division. Lastly, Andie Keller once again took care of business in the New Bees to record win number three in the class.

Sunset Speedway Park has the night off this weekend before returning for a doubleheader. Friday, June 21st, is a Discount Days event which runs the two General Admission tickets for $8.00 and a single ticket for just $5.00. Classes in action include IMCA Sport Mods, Dwarf Cars, 4- Bees, and both classes of Micro Sprints.

On Saturday, June 22nd, the Wingless Sprint Series will be in town for the first occasion in 2019. Support classes include the IMCA Sport Mods, Dwarf Cars, 4-Bees, and both Micro divisions. For more information log on to www.sunsetspeedwaypark.com.
