Banks, Oregon- With less than a month’s time before the drop of the first green flag at Sunset Speedway Park a new class will be introduced at the facility. The Super Sports will find a home at the “Banks Bullring” in 2019 and are slated for eleven events on the schedule.
The rules will be the same as Willamette Speedway and will also allow the use of any 11.5” Asphalt Slicks. The majority of the races will pay $377.00 to win and $77.00 to start. The Independence Day show, on July 4th, will see the victor earn $577.00 while during Labor Day Weekend, for the Doug Walters Classic, has a $577.00 pay on August 31st followed by a whopping $777.00 on the September 1st finale.
The division will be a part of the first race of the season on Saturday April 13th. Joining them will be IMCA Modifieds, Street Stocks, Pure Stocks, IMCA Hobby Stocks, and the 4-Bees. Pit Gates open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates 4:00, with Racing kicking off at 6:30. Tickets are $13.00 for Adults and Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $10.00. A Family Pass (Two Adults and up to four Youths) is offered for $35.00 while Premium Seats are available for $25.00 each. For more information log on to www.sunsetspeedwaypark.com.
