SSP Has Another Successful Driver Appreciation Night On July 28th

Banks, Oregon- Sunset Speedway Park would have a full card racing on Saturday, July 28th. The “Banks Bullring” would be on tap for Driver Appreciation Night. A whopping eight classes inhabited the ¼-mile clay oval including Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, Street Stocks, Pure Stocks, 4-Bees, New Bees, and both Micro Sprint divisions.
Sonny Modaff would strike pay dirt in the Late Models to become the fifth different winner in as many races with the class. Vancouver, Washington’s Aaron Elwess returned to victory lane in the IMCA Modifieds for his second triumph of the current campaign. The Street Stocks and Pure Stocks would be combined for their main event and Arnie Case, also of Vancouver, Washington, got the job done for the eleventh occasion in the Street Stocks while Tim Zuirta got his third Pure Stock win in 2018.
Ryan Conroy would secure his ninth 4-Bee victory while in the New Bees Cutlass Jones parked it in the winner’s circle for the fourth time. Mount Vernon, Washington native Macie Logsdon won her first Micro Restricted race of the year while in the Micro Opens Josh Thompson, from Saint Helens, also accomplished his first victory.
SSP is back at on Saturday, August 4th for the first race of the new month. Five classes are on the list including IMCA Modifieds, Street Stocks, Pure Stocks, 4-Bees, and New Bees.
Pit Gates open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates 4:00, Time Trials begin at 5:30, with Racing kicking off at 6:30. Tickets are $13.00 for Adults and Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $10.00. A Family Pass (Two Adults and up to four Youths) is offered for $35.00 while Premium Seats are available for $25.00 each. Tickets, apparel, and more can be purchased online at www.pnwdirtracing.com .
