Nascar Legend Ken Schrader will be visiting Sunset Speedway in 2016 Campaign

Nascar legend Ken Schrader will be making an appearance not only to meet and greet all the fans on the spectator side, but will also be racing with us at Sunset Speedway on the June 17th, Wild West Modified Speedweek Friday Night race.

“Ken Schrader, one of America’s favorite race car drivers, will be running his #9 Federated Auto Parts dirt car throughout the United States in 2016. Schrader will also run select ARCA and NASCAR races during the year.

Throughout his motorsports career Schrader has driven almost every kind of race car – late models, modifieds, sports cars, sprint cars, Indy cars, and stock cars. Starting in his teens, Schrader has driven race cars for the past four decades. As one of the sport’s legendary drivers, he has served in many other roles including car owner, race track promoter, spotter, radio and TV commentator and author. Schrader spent the last 30 seasons behind the wheel in NASCAR’s elite Cup Series, before retiring in November 2013 at Miami-Homestead Speedway.
