Northwest Extreme Late Model Series Ready For Baseline Pawn Firecracker 100 At SSP

Banks, Oregon- The Baseline Pawn Firecracker 100 is next on the schedule for the Northwest Extreme Late Model Series on Independence Day, Saturday July 4th, at Sunset Speedway Park. The NELMS series have visited SSP four times this year including last Saturday night. After all the action has concluded the “Banks Bullring” will host a fantastic fireworks display.
So far the 2015 Northwest Extreme Late Model Series has been a great one with three drivers winning their first career races. Joey Tanner and Dave Walters, who is the current point leader, each have won twice while Jason Johnson, Preston Luckman, and Greg Walters are one-time winners this year.
Sunset is the most visited track for the NELMS Series with a total of thirty visits since 2010. Of those thirty visits the tour has been on hand Greg Walters has won by far the most, visiting victory lane twenty times. Collen Winebarger has three wins while drivers with just one include Terry Ferrando, Jerry Schram, Russ Sell, Billy Workman Jr., Dave Walters, Jason Johnson, and Joey Tanner.
As far as the history of the Firecracker 100 Greg Walters has won this event five times since 2007, including the last two years, while Brandon Lindberg picked up a win in the rain shortened 2008 edition. In 2012 Jerry Schram was the winner which saw the aforementioned series race against the Super Dirt Late Model chauffeurs that regularly inhabit the Willamette Speedway in Lebanon.
Pit Gates will open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates open at 3:30, and racing starts at 6:00. Tickets are Adults $15.00, Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $13.00, Youths (Ages 12-6) $8.00, and Children under the age of 5 are FREE and a Family Pass will be offered for two Adults and up to four Youths for just $55.00.
