Independence Day Baseline Pawn Firecracker 100 Next For Sunset Speedway Park; Fireworks To Cap Night Off

Banks, Oregon- If you are looking to find a place with awesome racing, a family friendly atmosphere, and some fantastic fireworks then look no further than Sunset Speedway Park. The “Banks Bullring” will be hosting the annual Baseline Pawn Firecracker 100 on Saturday July 4th. Classes racing will be the Northwest Extreme Late Model Series, Budweiser IMCA Modifieds, Street Stocks, and 4-Bees. And to cap the whole night off will be a massive fireworks display. We do want to let teams know that the practice schedule for Sunday the 5th has been canceled.
Joey Tanner, Dave Walters, Jason Johnson, and Greg Walters have all visited victory lane once in 2015 when the Northwest Extreme Late Model Series has been in town. Greg Walters was victorious in last week's event at SSP and is the defending winner of the Baseline Pawn Firecracker 100.
Rob Ireland is now tied with most victories this year with Mark Carrell in the Budweiser IMCA Modifieds. The two drivers have managed to achieve two wins over the course of the current season. Single race victors include Jesse Williamson, Bubba Foster, Doug Lockwood, Jeff Lovell, and Collen Winebarger.
Brian Roden has definitely been taking care of some business when it comes to Street Stock competition. Roden has managed to win four times during the campaign while Tony Catalano and Arnie Case have gotten the job done twice. The only driver to win just once is defending champion John Ireland.
Chris Batalgia has recorded five wins in 2015 with the 4-Bees. Batalgia has been on a roll as of late and has been very hard to shut out of victory lane. Damion Owen and William Wolfe are two-time winners while Captain Turnabout has won just once.
Pit Gates will open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates open at 3:30, and racing starts at 6:00. Tickets are Adults $15.00, Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $13.00, Youths (Ages 12-6) $8.00, and Children under the age of 5 are FREE and a Family Pass will be offered for two Adults and up to four Youths for just $55.00.
