Banks, Oregon- This Independence Day weekend if you are looking for something fun to do
Sunset Speedway Park is the place where you want to be. Not only will you see an awesome fireworks display but also some of the best racing the area has to offer. Come on to the "Banks Bullring" on Friday July 4th as the fine folks at Baseline Pawn present the annual Firecracker 100 along with a massive fireworks display. And don't forget to come back on Saturday the 5th for another great night of racing at the 1/4-mile clay oval. Classes in action on Friday include the Northwest Extreme Late Model Series, IMCA Modifieds, Street Stocks, and 4-Bee’s while Saturday will consist of the Northwest Extreme Late Model Series, IMCA Modifieds, Street Stocks, Pure Stocks, Dwarf Cars, and 4-Bee’s.
In two visits the Northwest Extreme Late Model Series have made Greg Walters has won both installments and currently is the only multi-race winner with the series in 2014. In IMCA Modified Doug Lockwood is the only driver to have won more than once this season with two wins while Rob Ireland, Bubba Foster, and Matt Jenner have each won just a single time.
John Ireland has been in victory lane three times in the Street Stocks with Brian Roden and Earl Claypool Jr. picking up one triumph each. Trevor LaBarge has two wins in Pure Stock but last time out Ken Shauve finished on top.
The Dwarf Cars have produced some great action with becoming Ryan Martinez, Corey Esteban, and Chris McCleary 2014 winners. Entering this weekend John Gartner and Travis Koch have both emerged victorious twice in the 4-Bee’s while drivers with just one trip to victory lane include Stan Asanovic and Bo Jones.

Both days the Pit Gates will open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates open at 3:30, and racing starts at 6:00. Tickets for Friday are Adults $15.00, Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $13.00, Youths (Ages 12-6) $8.00, and Children under the age of 5 are FREE and a Family Pass will be offered for two Adults and up to four Youths for just $55.00. Saturday tickets are Adults $12.00, Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $10.00, Youths (Ages 12-6) $5.00, and Children under the age of 5 are FREE and a Family Pass will be offered for two Adults and up to four Youths for just $35.00.
