Sunset Speedway Park Set For Round #5 This Saturday June 14th

Banks, Oregon- Sunset Speedway Park is going to be back in full swing this Saturday June 14th. It will no doubt be another action packed installment in the 2014 campaign at the “Banks Bullring”. Classes in action will include the Northwest Extreme Sprints, IMCA Modifieds, Northwest Extreme Modifieds, 4-Bee's, and both classes of Micro Sprints.
This race will mark the 2014 debut of the Northwest Extreme Sprint Cars while the IMCA Modifieds will be in action for the fourth time this year and are looking for the first repeat winner of the season. Winners this year include Bubba Foster, Doug Lockwood, and most recently Rob Ireland.
In Northwest Extreme Modifieds, Oscar Luckman has been perfect so far by capturing the first two races of the year. In the 4-Bee’s, like the IMCA Modifieds, there have been a different winner in each race they have ran. Drivers who have been fortunate enough to visit the winner’s circle include Stan Asanovic, John Gartner, Travis Koch, and Bo Jones. In the 600cc Open Micros there have been two different winners in two races with Kaitlyn Hammer and Dustin O’Brien each picking up victories while in the Restricted ranks it has been Jesse Schlotfeldt the victor in both races.
Pit Gates will open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates open at 3:30, and racing starts at 6:00. Tickets for the event are Adults $12.00, Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $10.00, Youths (Ages 12-6) $5.00, and Children under the age of 5 are FREE and a Family Pass will be offered for two Adults and up to four Youths for just $35.00.
