Special event added on Sept. 22nd featuring the $2K to win B-Mod “Dirty 30” & Pure Stock Scrambler race
With crowds and car counts on the rise officials at Salina Highbanks Speedway have decided to add a special event on Saturday, September 22nd. The evening will be a two-division show with the S&J Plumbing Pure Stocks and AmeriFlex B-Mods racing for added money and bragging rights.
The opportunity presented itself when Chris Theodore with Theodore Concrete Construction approached the track about being the title sponsor of a B-Mod special event during the 2018 season. After looking at schedules in the surrounding areas officials landed on Saturday, September 22nd to host an unsanctioned $2,000 to win, $250 to start special for the AmeriFlex B-Mods. Enhanced Network Solutions and C&L RV Center have also stepped up as presenting sponsors of the B-Mod event, which will boast a one-day A-Main payout of over $10,000.
The makeshift event will be dubbed the Theodore Concrete Construction Dirty 30 presented by Enhanced Network Solutions and C&L RV Center. As the name implies the A-Main will be 30 laps and will feature some of the regions best B-Mod aces. There will be no entry fee and non-qualifiers will receive $50 tow money if they start the B-Main. The AmeriFlex Lucky Draw will still be a part of this special event so one lucky driver finishing second or worse in the A-Main will receive an additional $100. The format will be draw and passing points with no provisionals.
The S&J Plumbing Pure Stocks will also share the stage on September 22nd in the Smith All-Fab Scrambler presented by CBI Wholesale Electric and East Side Cafe', a $500 to win event that will start up to 30 cars. The Smith All-Fab Scrambler presented by CBI Wholesale Electric and East Side Cafe' will feature a unique format that is sure to shake, or “scramble” things up. Drivers will draw for their heat races and earn passing points to lock in to the A-Main. The driver with the most passing points earns a $100 bonus for the night, but here’s the catch… There will be a full field redraw for A-Main starting positions. Just make the show and you might be on the pole! Drivers will redraw in front of the grandstands. The A-Main will be a minimum of 20 laps with one lap added for every car over 20 with a maximum 30-car, 30-lap feature.
Out-Pace Racing Products will be sponsoring the Hard Charger Award in both divisions. Full payouts can be found below.
