OCRS Sprints and Nascar Whelen points night recap

Salina, Okla. (May 14, 2016) - Sheldon Barksdale is having a season to remember racing with the Ameri-Flex Hose and Accessories / Oil Capital Racing Series.
The Norman, Okla. native won his second straight and third Ameri-Flex / OCRS sprint car main event of the season Saturday at the Salina Highbanks Speedway.

An action packed night in all the classes as the cover photo shows Bobby Dean Ward getting up and over on the back strait wall. He was OK but a little aggravated!

The Pure Stock division was once again a thriller. The top six cars battled it out lap after lap and side by side with Tommy Cantwell leading the way and taking his first victory of the season.

Kyle Davis, what more can we say, took the top spot on the last lap away from fellow driver Tyler Chambers. That win makes it Kyle's sixth win on the season and one step closer to his goal of capturing that national title.

The B Mod division was also a great race to watch as Chance Bishop made himself a three time winner of the class. I'm sure Chance would of loved to had this victory last week after his proposal in victory lane but is all to glad to have this victory as well.

USMTS driver Jason Hughes was on hand this week after a snow fall up north cancelled racing for the United States Modified Touring Series. He picked up his first win of the season at the track which adds to the stack of wins he has pilled up here on the Highbanks. Tyler Wolfe comes home from off the road to put on a show for the fans as he restarted from the back of the field after a spin and push his way back up to a second place finish.
