World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series on Tap for Salina Highbanks Speedway
Inside Line Promotions - SALINA, Okla. (April 23, 2013) - Sprint car drivers aren't much different than Ricky Bobby.
They just wanna go fast.
Insert Salina Highbanks Speedway, which is a high-banked, 3/8-mile oval - site of the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series event on Friday. It will be the second race at the fast, fast track for the Outlaws.
"I remember that Salina place being really, really fast," Chad Kemenah said. "You get that much bank on a race track and it creates speed."
Kemenah capitalized on the speed during the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series inaugural event at Salina Highbanks Speedway in 2011. After qualifying fifth, he charged from third to win his heat race and went on to place eighth in a main event that featured a ton of slide jobs and side-by-side racing.
"I remember it being really neat," Kemenah said. "It was a pretty wide race track, good to race on."
If for some reason the weather does not cooperate on Friday, a rain date has been set for Saturday, April 27. Friday tickets are good for Saturday. The track phone number is 1-918-434-7223.
TICKETS -
Fans can receive $5 off general admission tickets (adult tickets are $35 or $30 at O'Reilly Auto Parts and child tickets are $15 or $10 at O'Reilly Auto Parts) when they purchase at participating O'Reilly Auto Parts stores. They bring the O'Reilly Auto Parts receipt to the track and exchange it for a race ticket at the front gate.

Also, spectators can upgrade any ticket to a pit pass for only $10 on race day.
