Sixth place finish in second round of Western Swing at Route 66

On Friday evening Austin Theiss invaded West Texas Raceway (Lubbock, Tex.) piloting his Theiss Motorsports No. 7 Late Model for the Western Swing. Drawing 19 cars for the event co-sanctioned by the Southern Touring Late Model Series and the Sooner Late Model Series, Austin secured his spot into the opening night feature with a third place finish in his heat. Rolling off ninth, Theiss held his spot for all 30 laps to register a ninth place outing.

The following night at Route 66 Motor Speedway (Amarillo, Tex.) for another $2,000-to-win A-Main, Theiss posted a fourth place finish in his heat, which positioned him 11th on the starting grid for the finale.
