SRL Tour To Return To RAR In 2024
For the first time since 2016, the Spears SRL Southwest Tour Series will be racing at Redwood Acres Raceway. The west coast’s premiere super late model touring series will visit Eureka’s 3/8-mile paved oval on Saturday July 27 for the fourth time.
The SRL first visited RAR in 2013 with Jim Pettit, II taking the victory. The series returned in 2015 where Pettit again was victorious. Derek Thorn won the series’ most recent SRL race at the Acres in August of 2016. The tour was scheduled to visit Redwood Acres Raceway in 2022 but area fires forced the cancellation of that event.
Redwood Acres Raceway officials and SRL series officials are also working on adding the Spears Manufacturing Modified Series to the July 27 date but that is currently pending. The full 2024 schedule for Redwood Acres Raceway is being finalized and will be announced soon.
Tickets for the 2023 season banquet for Redwood Acres Raceway are available on RacinTheAcres.com. The event is scheduled for Friday January 19 at the Redwood Acres Fairgrounds in the Home Economics Building.
