Ransomville names a Race Director for 2019

At the Ransomville Speedway awards banquet held Saturday, November 10th the management announced the Eileen Czarnecki would move up to the position of Race Director for the 2019 season. Czarnecki worked at Ransomville as a scorer from 1980 to 2006. She left in 2006 to take a break from racing and spend time with her family. It wasn’t long before Genesee Speedway was in need of a scorer and Eileen was back working with the scoring systems. In 2017, she returned to Ransomville Speedway on a part-time basis as a scorer.
When asked about her experience Eileen shared that she filled in as the race director at Lancaster Speedway when Jamie Friesen was injured at the end of the 1995 season. She continued in that capacity for the next year. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to work with many different race directors and will bring that experience to the position. Ransomville hosts some of the best racing and drivers in the state and I look forward to working with the management and the racing teams in 2019.
Czarnecki has already jumped into the race director’s responsibilities. Czarnecki was present at the meetings for the Street Stocks and 4-Bangers held by the speedway in October. The 4 Bangers will be known as the Mini-Stocks. She is also working with the management and tech officials to update the rule book.
