PENULTIMATE 600 SPRINTS SET SATURDAY AT PLYMOUTH; SHILLING, SAUNDERS SCORE VICTORIES

The TRAXXAS USAC 600 Sprint Car campaign concludes August 24 at Plymouth (Ind.) Speedway and Billy Cribbs and Garrett Saunders continue to pace the standings, but both are focused on this weekend’s penultimate races at the northern Indiana oval.

Randy Shilling of Warsaw, Ind. and Garrett Saunders of Lakeville, Ind. won features Saturday night at Plymouth.

Shilling led the final five laps of the 20-lap Open race, passing Gavin Taylor on lap six for the lead. Series point leader Billy Cribbs took second ahead of Eric Saunders, Taylor and Dawson Stealy.

Saunders led all 15 laps to win the Restricted main event over Nicholas Schaefer, Matt Frisbie, Tyler Blackburn and J.T. Squier.
