Heartland Horsepower Nationals Info
Monday and Tuesday June 20-21 mark the inaugural Heartland Horsepower Nationals presented by Premier Industries which will see one Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMod racer will pocket $5,000.00 for their efforts.
Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods will compete in two heat races on Monday. First heat race will line up by pill draw and the second heat will see the field inverted from your original starting position from the first heat race. This is the same format that is used at the Iron Cup and during the World Nationals at Marshalltown Speedway. Passing points will be awarded and the top ten from the heats will be locked into Tuesday night's main event. Top 3 in each heat race will receive money for their finishes. 1st $40 2nd $20 3rd $10.
Tuesday will see the Last Chance Qualifier heat races and Last Chance Final Four race. Tuesday night’s A Main will start 24 cars. Drivers registration is now open and on-line clicking the “Drivers Registration” tab at parkjeff.com. Early entry fee is$125.00 until Sunday June 19th at 3:00am, or $175.00 the day of the event.
The full purse is as follows: 1st $5,0002nd $2,000 3rd $1,100 4th $1,000 5th$600 6th $450 7th $350 8th $340 9th$330 10th $320 11th $310 12th – 24th $300. Non-Qualifier pay is $150.
Along with the Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods, Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds will compete each night for $700.IMCA Stock Cars, IMCA Hobby Stocks and IMCA Sport Compacts will duel for $500.00to Win. Entry fee is $20.00 each night and will be collected the day of the event.
IMCA National, State, Region and Rookie points will be awarded for the event, no track points will be awarded during the event. In addition, IMCA personnel including Jim Stannard will be on hand to help oversee the event.
Admission prices for the Inaugural Heartland Horsepower Nationals presented by Premier Industries, Pit passes each night are$30 for adults and $15 ages 3-14. Adult Grandstand tickets are $15 Seniors$13 Kids 6-16 $3 Under 6 Free. Each night Pit gates open at 4:30pm, Grandstands 6:00pm, Hot Laps 6:30pm and racing starts at 7:30pm.
Hotel accommodations are available at the Country Inn & Suites for $85 by calling 605-232-3500. Teams will be allowed to leave their haulers overnight. No overnight spectator camping allowed on the grounds. There is a KOA Campgrounds 3 miles south of the speedway.
The speedway will be hosting weekly IMCA Racing on June 18th and The New Raceway Park directly across the street will have weekly IMCA Racing on Sunday June 19th. Four great nights of IMCA racing in the Siouxland area just a ¼ mile apart.
