Park Jefferson Opening Weekend Details
The Park Jefferson Speedway will open its 2017 racing season on Saturday, April 8th with Salute to Jimmy Cole Night. Popular racer Cole is fighting cancer and this night will see Park Jefferson donate $1 from every ticket to his recovery fund. This night will also be the kickoff to the 2017 IMCA weekly point racing with the Sign Masters Modifieds, J&J Fitting Stock Cars, Sport Modifieds, Hobby Stocks and Sport Compacts. The fab 5 will race the first 2 weeks before being joined by the Championship Sprint Cars on April 22nd.
On Friday April 7th, Park Jefferson will host a season opening test and tune for any drivers who wish to attend in any class of cars that will compete during the 2017 season.
Thanks to a fan donation, the Modified winner will currently pay $655 to win. If anyone is interested in contributing more please contact Rod Olson at 712-267-3278. The Sport Mods, J&J Fitting Stock Cars and Hobby Stocks will run for $355 to win and the Sport Compacts for a whopping $155 to win.
