Murray County Speedway
Murray County Speedway, Opening Night - June 12th.
The Murray County Speedway will begin their 2020 season on Friday June 12.
The Speedway has worked with the Murray County Commissioners and Administrator and the MN State Heath Inspector, to have races this night. However, there will be no fans in the grandstand, but will allow vehicles to park in the infield of the track. Vehicles will be allowed to have up to four people in the vehicle (unless a family has small children) for a price of $60. We highly encourage, that you come in a pickup, so that you can sit in the pickup's bed to better see the races. There will be an infield concession stand, with a limited menu. No alcohol will be sold in the infield. All fans must stay with their vehicle, unless going to use the restrooms or going to the concession area. If we have problems, for not following these rules, we must stop the races and escort out that vehicle that is not following the guidelines.
Their will be up to 80 spots in the infield that we will sell and possibly an additional 20 spots outside the track, along corner 3 and 4. These spots will be sold online beginning on Monday June 8th at 12 noon. Cutoff for online sales will be Friday June 12th at 12 noon. If there are any spots left to be sold, this will happen at 6pm June 12th in front of the main concession stand. So to guarantee a spot to watch, please purchase online. We will post a link to where this will happen.
We have been patiently waiting for this and have done much work to get this to happen. There are many guidelines that have to be followed. Hopefully, we will be able to get the grandstands to open up, but for the time being, our only option was to have a drive-in viewing, on the infield.
Let everyone know, the Murray County Speedway is back in operation!!!!!
