Dale DeFrance Memorial weathered out, Rescheduled to May 16th
Due to heavy amounts of rain and wet grounds, the Fast Shafts Dale DeFrance Memorial is postponed for one week and will be rescheduled for May16th.
With the Iowa High School State Rodeo being scheduled at the Fairgrounds Friday-Sunday, a reschedule for Friday is impossible.
"The Central Iowa Fairgrounds hosts this event every year and it has grown to need to entire facility, we (Kruse and the Central Iowa Fairboard) made the decision last year to move racing to Thursday night this weekend." stated Promoter Toby Kruse.
With the postponement, next week the High Banks of Marshalltown plays host to 2 great nights of racing in all weekly divisions. Thursday night May 16th will see the Fast Shafts Dale DeFrance Memorial followed by Friday May 17th's Salute to our Military hosted by the Local UAW 893.
The DeFrance family has been hard gathering many contingency sponsors and product providers for racers in attendance May 16th, they include the following;
All Winners will not only get increased pay they will all get a 3’ Trophy, a “big Check” A Drive Shaft (FastShafts), A Case of Oil (zMax Oil), 250 Driver Cards (Graphic Impressions & TBP Photography.
Late Model winner will also get a LW QC Gear Set (PEM) and a gift card $250. Off MD3 Product (Performance Bodies)
Also up for grabs for the Late Models is a Barrel of Fuel (Airey Installations) Added purse money (Fast Shafts, Tire Demon, Action Auto Parts), Hard Charger Award (Joe Hayes) KevKo Certificates.
IMCA Modified Winner will also get a Tire (Hundley & Son Trucking), a LW QC Gear Set (PEM), and a gift card $150. Off MD3 Product (Performance Bodies)
Modifieds will also have a Hard Charger award ( Hundley & Son Trucking), Pole Award (BHE), Hard Luck award (Roth Racing Razor Chassis)
IMCA Sport Mod Winner will also get an additional $20 (Peterson Paint & Body), and a gift card $150. Off MD3 Product (Performance Bodies) also all top 5 positions will get an additional $20 (Peterson Paint & Body) Sport Mods will also have a Hard Charger Award (BHE) ), Hard Luck award (Roth Racing Razor Chassis)
IMCA Stock Car Winner will also get a gift card $100. Off MD3 Product (Performance Bodies)
Stock Cars also have an increased top 5 pay out (J&V NAPA, Smith Lawn Care & Landscape, Quick Performance)
IMCA Hobby Stock Winner will also get a gift card $100. Off MD3 Product (Performance Bodies) along with an increased payout (RFB Electric)
All participants will receive a certificate from Motorsports Warehouse
Longest Tow will receive One Pair of Nitro Helmet Speakers with Installation (RH2 Way)
