Tony Stewart Just Named Grand Marshall For Tuesday Event

Tuesday Racing Will Also Feature Wallace And Schrader In Modifieds
The St. Louis U-Pic-A-Part event this coming Tuesday, July 26 at Macon IL Speedway keeps getting bigger and bigger.  In addition to a stout field of drivers racing for the $12,000 top prize in the 100, Tony Stewart has been named as Grand Marshall for the event and two of the other partners in the Macon Speedway ownership group, Kenny Wallace and Ken Schrader will

also be there, racing in the Billingsley Towing UMP Modified division.
For Tony Stewart, it will be his first visit to Macon in a couple of years.  Stewart is in the middle of his farewell season on the NASCAR Sprint Cup tour, recently winning an event and running very well over the last few races.  The three-time Sprint Cup champion is the owner of the Arctic Cat All-Star Circuit Of Champions series and Eldora Speedway, in addition to his Macon partnership.  Stewart was just inducted into the USAC Hall of Fame last Thursday night at Lucas Oil Speedway, during a Track Enterprises event.
As if the Billingsley Towing UMP Modified division hasn't been good enough lately, it will get even better Tuesday night when Kenny Wallace and Ken Schrader make appearances.  Wallace has made a couple of appearances at Macon this year, coming away with a third place finish on Memorial Day, while finishing fifth at the Summit Nationals event in July.  For Schrader, he has made just one appearance this year and brought home a second place finish.
The three NASCAR stars are co-owners of Macon Speedway with managing partner, Bob Sargent.  The entered the partnership in the mid 2000's to help keep racing alive and well in Central Illinois.
Tuesday night's festivities get underway with pits opening at 3:00, grandstands at 4:00, Modified and B-Mod pill draw ending at 5:50, hotlaps begin at 6:00, and racing will take the green at 7:00.  Grandstand admission will be available at the gates at $30 for adults and free for kids 11 and under.
