Hornet Challenge Weekend Up Next For Lincoln & Macon Speedways

Payout Increase Just Announced

Officials from Track Enterprises in Macon, IL announced in February an unprecedented weekend of racing, camping, partying, and all out fun for Hornet competitors during the month of May.  That time is now.  The Friday-Saturday doubleheader is this upcoming weekend, Friday, May 6 at Lincoln Speedway and Saturday, May 7 at Macon Speedway.  Now, Track Enterprises officials have added to an already sizable payoff.

Due to a lot of interest and positive comments on the weekend, each feature will now pay $1,000 to win and $50 to start, instead of the $30 to start that was originally planned.  On top of that, additional $100 bonuses are in place for the highest finishing out of state car each race, with competitors from all over expected to attend.

The events will see heat races set up by draw, with passing points used to lock drivers into the feature field.  A semi will be held to give remaining drivers a last chance to make the show.  The Hornet class will be teched by Macon UMP rules which include street tires/wheels only and no coilovers.

Pre-entry fee is $30 for each day or $40 if not received by Saturday, April 30.

The complete payout for the 20 car starting field is: $1,000, $400, $250, $150, $100, $90, $80, $70, $60, $50, $50, $50, $50, $50, $50, $50, $50, $50, $50, $50
