Iron-Man Late Model Series
Palmetto State 50 set for November 18 at Lancaster for Iron-Man and Carolina Clash
LANCASTER, SOUTH CAROLINA (August 4, 2023)—Officials with Lancaster Motor Speedway, the Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Southern Series and the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series will co-sanction the “Palmetto State 50” on Saturday November 18 paying $10,000-to-win and $500-to-start the 24-car field.
The Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Series originally had an event scheduled for Boyd’s Speedway in Georgia that night, but since the track shut down as of April of 2023, the series was looking for another date for that night. The Carolina Clash, along with Lancaster Motor Speedway has invited the Iron-Man Racing Series for a co-sanction event on November 18. The series will do battle head-to-head with the stars of the 24-year-old Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series in a 50-lap battle.
The event precedes the Blue-Gray 100 at Cherokee Speedway on Sunday November 19 which pays $20,000-to-win for the Carolina Clash finale.
This will mark the first time the tour has co-sanctioned with the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series and first time visiting the Palmetto State of South Carolina, four hours east of Knoxville, Tennessee.
“We’re excited to pair up with Marion (Limbaugh) and Carolina Clash along with Shannon (Munn) at Lancaster for a blockbuster event,” said Chris Tilley, President of CT Promotions, LLC. the parent company of the Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Series.
More information on this mega-event will be released in the near future including prices, purses, support divisions and times.
