Top-10 finish with World of Outlaws at Lancaster Speedway

Competing with the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series in his home state of Georgia, Ashton Winger visited Lavonia Speedway (Lavonia, Ga.) on Friday evening for the Charlie Mize Memorial. Posting a fourth place finish in his heat race, Winger locked into the 10th-starting position for the opening night feature. With $10,000 on the line, Ashton was collected in a multi-car tangle on a lap-25 restart the sent him pitside. Rallying from the tail of the field, Winger salvaged a 13th place outing. On Saturday afternoon at Lancaster Speedway (Lancaster, S.C.), Ashton jumped up two spots in his heat race to place fourth, which positioned him 12th on the starting grid for the $10,000-to-win finale. Breaking into the Top-10, Winger improved four spots to come home eighth.

Ashton remains in seventh in the latest World of Outlaws point standings.
