Hoffman Opens 2023 Season with Lucas Oil Chili Bowl
Nick Hoffman opened his 2023 season on Monday at the 37th annual Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals presented by General Tire.
Sixty-six entries participated in the first round of the event at the Tulsa Expo Raceway, and aboard the RAMS Racing No. 2 NOS Energy Drink / Rockwell Security Hoffman started his day by racing to a third-place finish in both his heat race and his qualifier., which locked him into the pole position for a B-Main.
Winning the B-Main, Nick locked into the 18th-starting spot for the 30-lap feature. He went on to advance to a 16th-place finish.
On Saturday night Hoffman returned to action and was lined up fourth on the grid for a D-Main. He raced to a fourth-place finish in the D-Main to advance to the C-Main, where he started 17th.
Nick raced to a 12th-place finish in the C-Main, but with only the Top-5 finishers moving onto the B-Main, his weekend came to an early end.
