Welcome Back!

Robert Ballou made a triumphant return to the top of the podium in just his second race back after recovering from serious neck injuries suffered last September at California’s Calistoga Speedway. Ballou, driving a new EAGLE car, took the lead on lap 18 and led the remainder of the 30-lap feature on the second night of the #LetsRaceTwo doubleheader at Eldora Speedway. In victory lane, Robert quipped: “Boy am I glad I switched to EAGLE chassis. Best decision I’ve ever made!”

Mark Dobmeier earned the pole position in his EAGLE for the Badlands Motor Speedway Silver Shootout worth $100,000 in silver bars. For the second year in a row, the #13 Grinch Racing Team was welcomed back to victory lane. Earning $12,750, in pure silver, for their efforts.

Klint Simpson continues to dominate the Spec Sprint Shoot Out Series at Petaluma Speedway. Klint started the evening with a quick time in qualifying, aboard the Dave Johnson owned EAGLE, then won the main event from a seventh starting position.

Trevor Grossenbacher grabbed the win at Eagle Raceway during a tribute night to all the Mom’s out there. Starting fourth on the grid, Trevor maneuvered his EAGLE to victory on a track prepped to his liking.

Ryan Giles clinched his third career win at Knoxville Raceway. Giles ran the low side in his EAGLE to cruise by the field and take the lead coming to the white flag. “This Eagle car has really been hooked up this year,” said Giles in Victory Lane. “It’s a brand-new car and I’m really excited to see what the rest of the year brings.”

John Carney jumped in the similarly prepared #224 EAGLE for a 305 win at Route 66 Motor Speedway. The Steward Builders car notched its second win of the season.

Brett “The Jet” Wilson won his first Champ Sprint main event at Creek County Raceway topping the 20 car field. Wilson battled his way to the front to earn the victory and the current points lead.

Jack Dover was once again victorious at Park Jefferson. "We took the lead and checked out on the start”. Dover led the distance to record his seventh win in the last 10 races at Park Jefferson International Speedway.

A sweep of the weekend was on tap for Rod Henning. Rod competed in both Midwest Mini Sprint Association races and won both in a HENCHCRAFT. The first at Lincoln Park Speedway before the Hoosier Speed Invitational at Tri-State Speedway with a field of some of the country’s best Lightning Sprint Drivers. Rod was one of the two Dorsett Racing entries on the podium. Rico Abreu was in tow and finished second.

Danny Fitzgerald took advantage of a smooth track at Chandler Motor Speedway, motoring his #88 HENCHCRAFT to victory.

Kobe Allison was elated in victory lane at Waynesfield Raceway Park. Climbing the back of the car to celebrate his win driving a HENCHCRAFT.

With a field full of HENCHCRAFT’s at Winston Speedway, Chuck Erickson proved to be the best. Chuck’s finish was ahead of three other family members finishing 1-4 consecutively.

Chase Brown has been on a terror at KAM Raceway in his STALLARD, earning his third win over the weekend.

The car count at Southern Illinois Raceway continues to impress. 101 cars checked into the pits to contest the weekends races. Zach Hubbard maneuvered his STALLARD to the front to win the A-class glory.

Matt Smith steered his STALLARD to victory lane at Bridgeport Speedway.
