Southern Ontario Sprints Return to Merrittville This Saturday Night
THOROLD, ONTARIO (September 5, 2023) … The Southern Ontario Sprints will return to Merrittville Speedway this coming Saturday night, September 9 presented by Cotton Inc. The DIRTcar Sportsman will also be in action with a 50-lap event, plus the combined Duel on the Dirt event for the Hoosier Stocks, plus Mod Lites and 4 Cylinders.
The Southern Ontario Sprints (SOS) will be making their third appearance of the season. Ryan Turner picked up the win in the Gary Cunningham Memorial back on June 24, and the first appearance was rained out. Coming into Merrittville, Dylan Westbrook has a 42-point lead over Ryan Turner, with Mitch Brown, Liam Martin, and Darren Dryden third through fifth in points respectively.
The Duel on the Dirt combined event for the Hoosier Stocks will be exciting. 2023 divisional champion Dave Bailey will lead the stout field of full fenders to Merrittville.
