G. Ferrando, Braaten, R. Emry, Cannon, And Koch August 11th Willamette Winners

Lebanon, Oregon- Willamette Speedway returned to racing for a single bout of action on Saturday, August 11th. The historical 1/3-mile clay oval had five classes on the program including IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sport Mods, Sportsman, Street Stocks, and Hornets.
Grey Ferrando, from Stayton, once again found victory lane making it his third trip there in the IMCA Modifieds and his second consecutive win. Central Point’s Jorddon Braaten collected his sixth win of 2018 in IMCA Sport Mod competition and has now won three in a row at Willamette. For the second straight time in the Sportsman Ryan Emry got the job done. The Corvallis native now has four total triumphs in the class this year.
Vancouver, Washington’s Joey Cannon became the newest driver to grace the win list in the Street Stocks. Lastly, in Hornet action Travis Koch, also from Vancouver, picked up the victory for his first win.
Willamette Speedway returns to racing on Wednesday, August 15th, for the Interstate Sprint Car Series Week of Speed. Not only will Sprint Cars be racing so will Dwarf Cars. Both classes are expected to muster some impressive car counts.
