Lebanon, Oregon- Last weekend the Karts took center stage at Willamette Speedway. This Saturday, August 8th, the 1/3-mile clay oval will be back in full force for the Shriner's Cup. Before the engines roar and the clay is shredded a practice event will be held on Friday the 7th from 4:00 PM to Dusk. General Admission to the practice on Friday is FREE for folks in the stands but Pit Passes are $15.00 each while the Car & Driver fee is $30.00.

The Linn County Shrine Club will be conducting the 50/50 raffle on Saturday night. The Shriner's portion of the raffle will go to help with transportation costs to get children from all over the world to a Shriner Hospital in their area. The Shriner's will have their trademark parade car on hand for kids to have their picture to be taken in it. Also Crocker's Cars and the Tangent Mafia will be giving a bike giveaway too.

Brian Cronk leads the Super Dirt Late Model ranks with four wins over Rob Mayea's three. Bricen James, John Duty, Justin Duty, and Trevor Glaser have all managed a single triumph. It has been a few weeks since the Late Models have done battle at the historic facility so it'll be fun to see everyone in action once again.

In the Super Sports Gil Pickett has won five times but he does have one win as a car owner with Jeff Rash a few weeks ago. Brian Smith has four victories while Randy Barley and Clay Debban both have two. Chris Mott and Steve Moore are the only two single race winners.

Sandy Sanders has been quite the dominant force in the Sportsman class. With five wins as a driver and one as an owner he is setting the measuring stick of success. Both Tom Yeack and Jeff Rash haven't had too bad of seasons with three wins each. Brian Winkler, Kevin Williamson, Chad Slover, and Dennis Archer all have won once.

Finally in the Street Stocks Kyle Yeack is quite the force. With seven wins at Willamette he is coming off of a huge victory at Cottage Grove last week for the Wallbanger Cup. Justin Evans has two wins while Steve Jorgensen, Doug Scott, Brian Cronk, Kevin Roberts, Bricen James, and J.J. Irvine.

Saturday the Pit Gates will open at 1:00 PM, the Pit Meeting will take place at 2:30, Front Gates open at 3:30, and Racing starts at 6:00. Tickets for this event are Adults $14.00, Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $10.00, Youths (Ages 12-6) $5.00, and Children under the age of 5 are FREE and a family pass will be offered for two Adults and up to four Youths for just $35.00.
