Willamette Speedway hosted two nights of excellent racing for the Kage Karts on Friday July 31st and Saturday August 1st. The inaugural Crocker's Cars Summer Showdown would feature teams from the states of Oregon, Washington, Nevada, and the Canadian province of Alberta.

Kasey Simmons of Creswell would win the first night out in the Pee Wee division in his Bean Hopper Coffee Shop/Jacob Daniels Attorney at Law/TeamPopwell.com/BC Motorsports #88K QRC for his second win of the year. The next evening Piper Hanson, also of Creswell, would park her SKS Racing/Hanson Contract Cutting #77 QRC in victory lane for the third time of 2015.

Carter Patterson from Lebanon would sweep the weekend in the 5HP Open ranks. It would bring the win total for the King Office Equipment/Water To Go/James Gang Pizza #47 QRC to five wins at Willamette.

The 5HP Intermediates would see Lydia Trupp from Coos Bay get the job done the first night in her Nexdor Tobacco & More/Team Dirt Dog #06 QRC for her first win of the year. The following night her brother Jayden, would collect his third Willamette win of 2015 in his Nexdor Tobacco & More/Team Dirt Dog #06 QRC.

Clackamas' Dustin Asher would score a huge victory on Friday night in the 125cc division. It was his first win all year long for the Checkered Flag Paving & Excavating/Big Sky Landscaping/SharkShifter.com #6A QRC. Kyle Roles returned to his winning way in the Knothole Market/James Gang Pizza/Big Sky Landscaping #02 SGC. It was his fourth win of the season.

Portland's Duke Johnson got the job done both nights in the 250cc ranks. Duke, driving the Oregon Outlaw Speed Shop/Luck O'Johnny/Old Black Daddy Foster Care #151 RFC, would bring his total win count to three at Willamette.

Finally in the Open Kage Matt McDowell of Roseburg would take care of business the first night in his Seven Feathers Casino Resort/Team Dirt Dog/HighLine Image & Design/Straight Up Performance #8M RFC. In the final night Harrisburg's Tyler Thompson got the win in the BC Motorsports/Rocket Designs/Bunce Equipment #77 RFC.

The Willamette Speedway Karts will take a few weeks off before returning to action on Friday August 21st. But until then the historic facility will be quite busy.

The 1/3-mile will be back at it after a week off. Friday the 7th will be a practice for teams while the following night is the Shriner's Cup on Saturday the 8th. Classes in action include the Super Dirt Late Models, Super Sports, Sportsman, and Street Stocks.

General Admission to the practice on Friday is FREE for folks in the stands but Pit Passes are $15.00 each while the Car & Driver fee is $30.00. This event will last from 4:00 PM to Dusk.

Saturday the Pit Gates will open at 1:00 PM, the Pit Meeting will take place at 2:30, Front Gates open at 3:30, and Racing starts at 6:00. Tickets for this event are Adults $14.00, Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $10.00, Youths (Ages 12-6) $5.00, and Children under the age of 5 are FREE and a family pass will be offered for two Adults and up to four Youths for just $35.00.
