Lebanon, Oregon- The engines are ready to roar once more and cars are ready to shred some clay at Willamette Speedway. The historical 1/3-mile clay oval will be back in action on Saturday July 25th. Classes featured on the card will include the IMCA Modifieds, Super Sports, Sportsman, and Street Stocks.
Collen Winebarger has nearly been unstoppable this year winning six of the ten IMCA Modified events in 2015. The only other driver to have won more than once is Dustin Cady who has done so on two occasions. Jeremy Shank and Alex Stanford are the two drivers that have only one once.
Brian Smith and Gil Pickett are still tied at four wins apiece, even though Jeff Rash drove Pickett's number for points last Saturday and was the winner. Clay Debban and Randy Barley are two-time winners while Steve Moore, Chris Mott, and the aforementioned Rash are all single race victors.
Sandy Sanders is still atop the winner's chart in the Sportsman division with five wins as a driver and one as an owner when he let Kevin Williamson wheel his sled. Tom Yeack has a respectable three wins over Jeff Rash who has two. Single race winners include the aforementioned Williamson, Brian Winkler, Chad Slover, and Dennis Archer.
After a couple of weeks off the Street Stocks are anxious to get back to it. Kyle Yeack has put together an amazing season with six victories while Justin Evans is the only other multi-feature winner with his three trips to the winner's circle. A good sized list of drivers that have one win include Doug Scott, Steve Jorgensen, Brian Cronk, J.J. Irvine, Kevin Roberts, and Bricen James.
Pit Gates will open at 1:00 PM, the Pit Meeting will take place at 2:30, Front Gates open at 3:30, and Racing starts at 6:00. Tickets for this event are Adults $14.00, Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $10.00, Youths (Ages 12-6) $5.00, and Children under the age of 5 are FREE and a family pass will be offered for two Adults and up to four Youths for just $35.00.
