Lebanon, Oregon- It just seemed like the race season just started but Saturday June 21st will mark the annual Mid-Season Championship Night. The evening will be presented by the fine folks at Highoctane Die Cast who hosted the incredibly successful Cars Of Stars promotion last weekend during Fan Appreciation Night.
The Karts will kick the weekend off on Friday June 20th for their fourth race of the season. General admission to the Friday Kart race will be FREE of charge. Pit Passes are $10.00 and Car and Driver fees will be $30.00. The Pit Gate will open up around 4:00 PM and Racing is scheduled to begin around 6:30.
Classes in action on Saturday will include the X-Factor Race Cars Super Late Models, Wirth Wireless IMCA Modifieds, Crocker’s Cars Super Sports, Albany & Eastern Railroad Sportsman, Street Stocks, and 4-Cylinders. The evening will host a little bit different format as the top ten in points in each division will be locked into the main event.
So far this year has been a thriller in the X-Factor Race Cars Super Late Models. Joey Tanner remains the only driver to have won twice this season while drivers with one win include John Duty, Steve Moore, Rob Mayea, and most recently Collen Winebarger.
The Wirth Wireless IMCA Modifieds witnessed their first repeat winner of the campaign with Matt Mitchell scoring his second win of 2014. Kyle Yeack, Craig Cassell, Collen Winebarger, Jeremy Shank, and Monte Bischoff make up an impressive win list with drivers who have won once.
Bricen James in on a hot streak with the Crocker’s Cars Super Sports winning the last three features and pulling off the “turkey” last Saturday. Two drivers that join him on the win chart include Gil Pickett and Tim Archer with one a piece. Will James find his way to victory lane for the fourth time in the division this weekend?
In Albany & Eastern Sportsman Brian Winkler, like Matt Mitchell in the Wirth Wireless IMCA Modifieds, became the first repeat winner in his division after emerging triumphant last Saturday night. Briley Pompe, Brian Smith, Jeff Rash, Jeff Marson, and Ron Berry have each won once.
Justin Evans still tops the Street Stock win chart with his two victories this year. Bricen James, Kyle Yeack, and most recently Erik Jarnport have each won a single main event. Dale Holland has been the car to beat in the 4-Cylinders as he has won both installments so far.
On Saturday the Pit Gates will open at 1:00 PM, the Pit Meeting will take place at 2:30, Front Gates open at 3:30, and Racing starts at 6:00. Tickets for this event are Adults $12.00, Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $10.00, Youths (Ages 12-6) $5.00, and Children under the age of 5 are FREE and a family pass will be offered for two Adults and up to four Youths for just $35.00.
