Lebanon, Oregon- Willamette Speedway will host the third round of the 2014 Kart season this Friday June 6th. The event will also kickoff the historical Strawberry Cup weekend. Already in the two previous installments this year there have been some great races.

Jayden Trupp has won both races so far in the Pee Wee ranks. He is also coming off of a feature win at Cottage Grove Speedway last weekend. In the 5HP Open division both Carter Patterson and Benjamin Silliker have accumulated one main event win each. Austin Sause, like Jayden Trupp, has simply dominated in his class. Sause has won both 5HP Intermediate events as well as picked up a victory at Cottage Grove last Friday.

Jayden Kimball and Jerry Fonfara have each won one feature in the Rookie Speedway Kart class. Melissa Aicher and Jonathan Brown have one win apiece in Adult Speedway Kart action. Greg Normandin is the only main event winner thus far in the AKRA ranks.

In the 125cc division Kyle Roles and Connor Hanson have visited victory lane one time each. Roles was the big winner down in Cottage Grove last weekend also. Eric Scofield and Bricen James have both reigned supreme in the 250cc and Open Kage respectively. Both drivers have won both completed events in their class and in dominant fashion at that.

General admission to the Friday Kart race will be FREE of charge. Pit Passes are $10.00 and Car and Driver fees will be $30.00. The Pit Gate will open up around 4:00 PM and Racing is scheduled to begin around 6:30.

As usual Willamette Speedway will give the feature winners an awesome oversized check with their name on it and drivers that win in the 125cc, 250cc, and Open Kage divisions will get a FREE tire courtesy of Hoosier Racing Tires. Also all participants in non-purse classes will receive one of the awesome plaques that are exclusive to Willamette Speedway.

None of this would be possible without the great support from the folks at Scofield’s Karts & Parts, Xtreme Motorsports, James Gang Pizza, and Schram Brothers Excavating so a big thanks to all the wonderful at those establishments.
