Les Schwab Tires Championship Night Format Revealed

Lebanon, Oregon- This Saturday September 28th will be the final point race of the 2013 campaign for Willamette Speedway. Championships will be decided in all six divisions that will be on hand for the action all of which will be presented by the fine folks at Les Schwab Tires. Those divisions include the DIRTcar Super Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, Super Sports, Sportsman, Street Stocks, and Mini Trucks.
The format that will be utilized will be quite different than what has been used all year long. First the highest ten drivers that are in the point standings in all six classes will be locked into a trophy dash. If a driver inside the top ten for whatever reason is unable to show up then eleventh place will fill the empty spot. Before the race the ten drivers will draw for starting positions for the dash and will race for ten laps in distance and where they finish is where they will start in the feature.
Drivers that are not in the dash will participate in qualifying time trials. The quickest car in qualifying will start eleventh, second quick twelfth, so on and so forth. The features will be normal distance and only main event points will be given. THIS FORMAT IS TENTATIVE AND SUBJECT TO CHANGE DUE TO CAR COUNT.
