Lebanon, Oregon- Racing action this weekend at Willamette Speedway will be kicked off on Friday June 28th. The machines on hand will be the always enjoyable Karts and it will mark their fifth race of the season. Trophy dashes will be ran for the 125cc, 250cc, and Open Kage divisions with the top six in final heat points being allowed to participate in the six-lap affair. The winner of the 125cc and 250cc dashes will receive $25.00 while the Open Kage dash is $75.00 to win.

After four complete events Ian Whisler leads the Pee Wee ranks in feature wins with two over Bradley Stumph and Blake Boshart who have one each. Conner Hanson has won all four races in the 5HP Intermediate while Caleb Henderson is the guy to beat in the 5HP Open with his two triumphs.

In the 125cc ranks there have been four different winners in as many events. Those winners include Casey Starr, Duke Johnson, Custin Jones, and Kyle Roles. Kyle Cormican has dominated the 250cc division with three wins while Eric Scofield has captured just one. Jake Ferguson still leads the win list for the Open Kage with his three trips to the winner’s circle but Brendan Waterman became the second different winner in the class last week.

The Speedway Karts have had four different winners in as many races. Matt Ponzoha, Stephen Chase, Jerry Patterson, and Devin Patterson have all been victors so far in 2013. Jeff Broadwell has won every single Micro race with a total of three to his credit.

General admission to the Friday Kart race event will be FREE of charge. Pit Passes are $10.00 and Car and Driver fees will be $40.00. The pit gates open up around 4:00 PM and racing is scheduled to begin around 6:45.
