Lebanon, Oregon- Willamette Speedway for one night only will be going topless, well at least some of the cars will. This Saturday June 29th will be the Topless Showdown which will have the DIRTcar Super Late Models take their roofs off. Also in action will be the IMCA Modifieds, Sportsman, Street Stocks, and Mini Trucks.

Put before action occurs on Saturday the Karts will be in action for Friday June 28th. The race will mark the fifth time that the future stars of the Willamette Speedway will be in action.

The 2013 DIRTcar Super Late Model division has simply been dominated by defending track champ Trevor Glaser. Glaser, last week’s winner of the Hot Rod Bettie’s Fast 50, has amassed six total wins in eight races. The only other drivers to visit the winner’s circle have been Russ Sell and Joey Tanner who have done so one time each.

The IMCA Modifieds will be back in action after the annual Wild Wild West Modified Shootout completed itself last weekend. Willamette Speedway has yet to see a repeat winner in Modified action with their being seven different winners in seven races. Mark Carrell, Kyle Yeack, Jeffrey Rivers, Dustin Dittman, Craig Cassell, and Jesse Williamson have earned triumphs while Alex Stanford joined that list on Tuesday June 18th when the Wild Wild West Modified Shootout rolled into town.

In the Sportsman ranks Brian Goetz joined the impressive list of feature winners. That list includes a total of seven different winners in eight events. Todd Miller leads the win column with a total of two while Brian Smith, Phil Housworth, Brian Brown, Clyde Rood, Jeff Marson, and the aforementioned Goetz have won just once.

The Street Stock class has been entertaining as David Cronk and Bricen James have earned the lion’s share of victories. Cronk leads the division with four over James’ three. Justin Evans is the only winner in the division with just a single triumph.

No one has yet beaten the Prineville posse in the Mini Trucks. Don Croy and Kenny Keefer have both taken the trophies back to Crook County. Croy has won four features while two have went to Keefer. Will someone be able to bust up the domination of these two this Saturday night?

General admission to the Friday Kart race event will be FREE of charge. Pit Passes are $10.00 and Car and Driver fees will be $30.00. The pit gates open up around 4:00 PM and racing is scheduled to begin around 6:45.

Saturday the pit gates will open at 1:00 PM, front gates 3:30 PM, and racing should be getting started around 6:00 PM. Admission prices are Adults $14.00, Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $12.00, Youths (12 and Under) $6.00, Family Pass (Two Adults and Up To Four Youths) $35.00, and Pit Passes are $25.00.

The Willamette Speedway has operated since the 1960’s and is a facility where high car counts and great racing are the norm. The venue will hosts weekly action comprising of DIRTcar Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, Sportsman, Super Sports, Street Stocks, and Mini Trucks.
