ZMAX CARS TOUR WEST PRO LATE MODEL – NOTES/REMINDERS/UPDATES

PRE-ENTRY FOR APRIL 13TH:
Please register for Round #2 of the 2024 zMAX CARS Tour West Pro Late Model Series Fueled by El Bandido Yankee Tequila! The event will take place at Irwindale Speedway on Friday, April 12th for the Optional Test Day and Saturday, April 13th for Race Day. Drivers and/or owners, please click the link provided above for printable PDF version of the entry blank. Entry Forms MUST BE FILLED OUT for all participating drivers and sent to CARS Tour West officials via mail (see form for address) OR email (info@carstourwest.com). While entry forms are due ASAP, the $100 Entry Fee will be payable at credentials on the day of the event and is not required to be included with entry form. See you at Irwindale Speedway.

-Tires will be serviced by Irwindale Speedway. Please e-mail competitors@carstourwest.com you tire order.
-Remember race tires can be worked on in the impound area on Friday and will be released to teams on race day.

THURSDAY NIGHT PRACTICE
Thursday night practice is available to all teams from 5pm -9:30pm. The fee is $300 for this practice.

PARKING
Please e-mail competitors@carstourwest.com any special parking needs. If you want to park by someone let us know so we can accommodate everyone. If you need to unhook your tow vehicle let us know.

Tech Amendments – Effective 4/2/24

ENGINES
-You may run after market valve springs but they must be the same spring pressures as OEM. Per the GM Yellow Book, OEM Valve springs are rated at 80# (+/-4#) @ 1.70” installed height and 195# (+/-8#) @ 1.270” open height. OEM dimension retainers and keepers.

IGNITION
Cars must run a maximum 6,200 RPM rev limit. It is mandatory to use the FAST/Crane Ignition System part # 6000-6701 or the JMS/Daytona Sensors part # 6000-6701K as produced on original plate mounted on passenger side with dials pointed to right side of car. The Quick Car #50-2053 or the Nelson Specialties Spec wiring harness (unaltered) is mandatory.

TIRES and WHEELS
E. No tire bleeders allowed.
BODY and CHASSIS –
Quarter panel heights and tread width will be checked with driver in the car.

RACE PROCEDURES
The Race Director, at the drivers’ meeting, shall announce the number of consecutive green flag laps to be completed prior to a competition
caution. This number of consecutive laps may vary with each Event. If the race goes said amount of consecutive green flag laps without a natural occurring caution, a competition caution will occur. The only time this will not occur is if the “said consecutive green flag lap” falls
inside fifteen (15) laps to go of the total race distance.
