SKAGIT THINKS PINK FOR LADIES NIGHT - AUG 3

Alger, WA – It's Ladies Night at Skagit Speedway this Saturday, August 3rd. All ladies get in free and receive a rose while supplies last. On-track action will feature, for the second week in a row, the 360 Sprint Cars and joining them are the Sportsman Sprint Cars and the Skagit Aggregates IMCA Modifieds.

This year we are all about PINK to raise awareness for Breast Cancer. We will have special event apparel available and prize drawings throughout the night.

This past Friday and Saturday, July 26-27 wrapped up the 34th annual Bob's Burgers & Brew Summer Nationals, and it was a weekend thriller for the 360s. During the opening night A Main, Dominic Gorden made his way from 18th to first to win, and then on the final night the local Trey Starks picked up his fourth 360 win in six features at Skagit Speedway. Starks pocketed $15,000 and will look to continue the momentum this week. The Puyallup native leads Skagit Speedway points with 660. Jesse Schlotfeldt is second with 527 points, and Colton Heath is third with 562 points. Heath won on Ladies Night last year, with Jason Solwold second and Chase Goetz third.

The Sprint Car action continues with the Sportsman Sprints for their seventh time this year if you throw out the rain-out night. Last time out on July 13th, Levi Hillier became the first driver this year to win two feature events in the division. Hillier is two for four in features contested this year for the driver of the 00. Kai Dixon leads the points race with 647 points – he also has one win in six features contested. Jayden Whitney is second with 621 points, and Alden Ostrom is third with 617 points – he has also found victory lane once this year.

Making their return to Skagit Speedway for the first time since July 6th are the Skagit Aggregates IMCA Modifieds. Their last time out, Jeff Westergard got his first Skagit Aggregates IMCA Modifieds feature win. Westergard started ninth and made the pass for the lead on lap 12. The driver of the 66 sits atop the points standings with 183 total points. Rick Smith is second with 170, and Ben Gunderson third with 167. Smith won on ladies' night last year, with Adam Holtrop finishing second and Geoff Morris in third.
