Sarver, PA (September 17, 2021) There was a championship feeling in the air as the Fab4 Revved Up with Marburger Farm Dairy 2021 regular season came to a close on ˜Championship Night presented by Alumisource. Todd Bachman found victory lane for the very first time while John Mollick, Josh Baughman, and Chris Schneider also seized victories on the final championship points night at Lernerville Speedway!

The Precise Racing Products Late Models were the first main event to hit the speedway with Todd Bachman and Levi Yetter setting the pace on the front row. When the green flag dropped it was Bachman jumping out to the early lead as fourth place starter, Colton Flinner sliding into the second spot as the field completed lap one. The pace was slowed on lap two as the red flag was displayed for a multi-car accident on the front stretch that included Tony Burke, Logan Zarin, Matt Lux, Shawn Schaltenbrand, Mike Miller, and Clayton Kennedy. When the race resumed it was Flinner stealing the lead away from Bachman using the high side of ˜The Action Track and by lap five, Tommy Beck, who started 14th, had climbed into the fifth position. After a quick caution on lap six, Flinner continued to lead before his car slowed on lap seven to bring out the events third caution. Flinner, who already had the 2021 Championship wrapped up, took his car pit side. Bachman found himself back in the lead with Gary Lyle in second and pressuring Bachman hard for the top spot. As the laps wound down, Bachman would continue to lead with Tyler Dietz closing on the lead duo. On lap 17, Dietz made his way around Lyle for second and set his sights on Bachman for the lead. On lap 21, Dietz was able to work his way to the lead and quickly pulled away. However, on the white flag lap, Dietz had a left rear tire go soft which catapulted both Bachman and Lyle back into the lead positions. Bachman was able to hold off a last-ditch effort by Lyle in turns three and four to capture his first ever Lernerville Speedway victory. Finished third was behind Bachman and Lyle was Clay Ruffo followed by Dietz who held on to finish fourth while Tommy Beck completed the top-five.

˜This is absolutely fantastic, exclaimed Bachman in Terry Bowser Excavating Victory Lane. ˜Its been a long, long time. Im glad everybody is here tonight, its just, fantastic. I have to thank Matt, Rob, Levi, Austin, Kim, my whole family here tonight, Bachman Trucking, North Pike Truck & Auto, Club 29 Race Cars, Durham Racing Engines, and all of this money (winnings) is going to the Navy Seal Foundation as always.

˜We had a couple of strong runs, and we were fast and consistent every week here, Colton Flinner said while being introduced as the 2021 Precise Racing Products Late Model Track Champion. ˜Im glad Todd Bachman won here tonight, hes been trying for a really long time, Im really good friends with him and Im happy he won.

The Diehl Automotive Big Block Modifieds were next to hit the track as point leader Jeremiah Shingledecker led the first seven laps of the 25-lap main event. John Mollick pressured Shingledecker for the top spot during those seven laps and was able to make his move for the lead after a lap 7 restart. Shingledecker stayed close to Mollick and made a bid for the lead on lap 14 but Mollick was able to hold on and lead the rest of the way to claim the victory with Shingledecker in second, Rex King, Jr. in third followed by Brian Swartzlander in fourth and Garrett Krummert in fifth. With Shingledeckers runner-up finish, Shingledecker secured his third track championship and first since 2011.

˜He (Shingledecker) was really good, I could hear him back there and I was just driving for everything I had left. Im glad it wasnt 30 laps, Mollick stated in Victory Lane. ˜I really didnt expect to win this, this car is twisted up like a pretzel, we were just trying to get through the year. Just come out here, it ran good and here we are. Mollick continued, ˜I have to thank Pro-X, theyve given me tips, pointers, and this and that and obviously I have to thank my wife, my buddy Scotty, and my crew chief Bob, theyre all a part of this.

˜The team is almost all family, my dad does the engines, my wife spends a lot of time in the garage, the crew, Rick driving the truck for us, the now three-time Diehl Automotive Big Block Modified Lernerville Speedway Track Champion, Jeremiah Shingledecker stated. ˜Austin, Brayden and Noah all spend a lot of time in the garage throughout the week and thats what got us a couple of fast race cars.

When the Peoples Natural Gas Sprints took to the speedway with was Dan Kuriger and A.J. Flick leading the field to the green flag with Flick, who was in search of his fifth career track championship, taking the lead from the start. By lap 10, Flick had a 1.482 second lead over Kuriger who was being hounded by Jack Sodeman, Jr who took second on lap 11. Lapped traffic started to play a heavy role on Flicks lead as Josh Baughman joined the battle for second with Sodeman, Jr. and Kuriger while the trio started to close on Flick. By the 16th circuit, Sodeman, Jr. made his way under Flick for the lead in turns one and two, but Flick was able to repel the challenges before Baughman blasted his way around Sodeman, Jr. for second. On lap 19, Baughman was able to pull off a perfect slider coming out of turn four to take the lead from Flick and pull away to claim his second career victory at Lernerville Speedway as Sodeman, Jr. came home second followed by Flick. In fourth was Kuriger with George Hobaugh rounding out the top-five. Brandon Matus, who held an eight-point lead coming into ˜Championship Night, finished seventh but Flicks third place finish was enough to give him a one-point advantage and his fifth Lernerville Speedway track championship. ˜I love this place, Baughman said in Victory Lane. ˜It was a hell of a race, my car was really tight to start but I cant thank these guys enough and everybody that helps on this car, we dont get to race that much anymore but we enjoy winning!

˜Yeah, its pretty cool, the freshly crowned five-time Peoples Natural Gas Sprint Lernerville Speedway Track Champion, A.J. Flick said. ˜Brandon (Matus) was one of the quicker cars all year and I think we did everything we could to throw it away. We werent winning races, I was making mistakes, we got taken out in a heat race one night that cost us a full night of points but like I said, Brandons been quick, any time hes made a mistake or has been sent to the back, hes been able to come back up through. We just didnt have that speed this year. Flick continued, ˜We fought with the car all year long and it was only two or three weeks ago I said, if want any shot to make some of these points up, we have to put something else together. I want to win races, but we get the championship for the fifth time and everything that comes with it. I appreciate everything the speedway does to help get us back on track and all the support we get from all the fans. Its pretty cool to be a part of this.

The final feature of the night was the Millerstown Pic-A-Part Penn/Ohio Pro Stocks that had Chase Lambert and Chris Schneider on the front row. Schneider jumped out to the early lead, but the action was slowed on lap two as Lambert made contact with fourth starting Daryl Charlier coming out of turn four to bring out the caution. As the caution car, Lambert was sent to the rear as was Charlier by race control for rough driving. When the field came back to green it was Schneider pulling away from the pack as by lap five, he had close to a three second lead over second running Corey McPherson who had already had the 2021 championship in his back pocket heading into the nights events. Unfortunately for McPherson, mechanical issues ended his night early as he pulled off the speedway during a lap eight caution for third place running Larry Kugel who stopped in turn one. As the field rolled back to green it was Joey Zambotti in second place behind race leader Chris Schneider. By lap 10, Charlier, who was sent to the tail during the events first caution, had made his way back up to the fourth position and by lap 14 got by Zambotti for second. A lap 15 caution brought the field together and put Charlier right next to race long leader Schneider with just five laps to remaining. Schneider was able to hold off Charliers challenges to claim third victory of the season. Zambotti finished third with Todd Weldon in fourth and Jason Fosnaught in fifth. ˜We love coming here, Schneider stated in Victory Lane. ˜Its a great oval, great surface, multiple grooves to race on, its great that we can come here weekly against good competition, and you never know whos going to win.

After claiming his seventh Millerstown Pic-A-Part Penn/Ohio Pro Stock Lernerville Speedway Track Championship, Corey McPherson made a surprise announcement, ˜Ill still be around next year but maybe just not as much. Im going to take a step back after tonight but like I said, Ill still be around it will just be few and far between. We have some plans with my little girls, they want to go full time dirt bike racing next year so were going to make the switch. McPherson continued, ˜I have to thank my wife, my crew, Doing It Right Roofing, Alternative Power Sources, Ingram Engines, SS Chassis and Supply, Pure Romance, Precise Racing Products, Advance Auto Parts, and everyone along the way. Its bee a great ride, weve been doing this a little over a decade and weve come a long way and I really enjoy it. Im going to miss everyone, like I said, Ill still be around, just on a limited schedule.
