Sarver, PA (July 18, 2019) The Fab4 Revved up with Marburger Farm Dairy will once again take center stage this Friday night and they'll be joined by some classic race cars that graced the clay at The Action Track and area speedways in days gone by. Friday night will also see two area racing clubs in attendance as both the Pittsburgh Circle Track Club and Twin State Auto Club will be holding their annual nights for their members.
On the track, the points battles are getting thicker with story lines as the second half of the season presses on after some wild finishes and a few surprises made a difference in all four divisions. In the Peoples Gas DIRTcar Sprints, AJ Flick saw his 32 point lead dwindle to just 13 points ahead of second running Jack Sodeman Jr. Flick encountered rear end problems last Friday night while leading, opening the door for Sodeman who took full advantage of the opportunity by winning his second main event of the season.
Kenny Schaltenbrand brings a 32 point lead into action the Precise Racing Products DIRTcar Late Models Friday night and was the recipient of three straight lucky dog scenarios last Friday where he got a lap back after contact with Mike Pegher Jr. caused him to go pitside early in the main event. The good fortune enabled him to achieve a third place finish while his closest pursuer Jared Miley suffered a finish outside the top 10. Kelvin Kohan who has shown speed on many nights this season finds himself in third place overall.
Brian Swartzlander and Rex King Jr find themselves tied atop the standings in the Diehl Automotive DIRTcar Big Block Modifieds and may take the battle to the last set of turns on championship night if things play out as they have thus far. King came into action last Friday night with an eight point advantage which was erased when he suffered battery failure prior to his heat race, causing him to forego a possible 10 points. Meanwhile, Swartzlander took full advantage by winning his heat race. Lurking just seven markers back is Rex King Sr who has yet to finish outside the top five in any main event this season.
And in Millerstown Pic-A-Part DIRTcar/RUSH Pro Stock action, Joey Zambotti, Corey McPherson and Tyler Dietz are locked in a tight battle for the points lead as Zambotti leads McPherson by three points and Dietz by seven. The trio at the top have collected two wins apiece and just 13 points behind them is feature winner Ryan Moyer who is poised to make it a four driver battle to the finish.
The Lernerville Kids Club will be in action once again this week and will be painting flags for their weekly activity as well as leading the crowd in the reciting of the pledge of allegiance. Kids Club begins at 6:30 pm under the turn four grandstands and is free for children of all ages.
Pits will open at 4 PM on Friday night with grandstands opening at 5 PM and racing at 7:30 PM. Adult general admission is $15, $12 for seniors and $10 for students ages 11-17.
We look forward to seeing you there!
