Quick Results 6.15.18- Flick and Miley Come Up With Late Race Heroics; King Jr Tops Modifieds; McPherson Wires Pro Stocks

Sarver, PA (June 15, 2018) Fans in attendance got all they wanted and then some in terms of exiting feature finishes and a rare evening of fantastic weather as the annual Mid Season Championships took center stage at The Action Track on Friday night. And when all was said and done, the four feature winners earned starting spots in some premiere events on the 2018 schedule.
In the Peoples Gas DIRTcar Sprint main event, AJ Flick worked his way through the field methodically from his 8th starting position and then made his way past Brandon Matus and Jack Sodeman Jr with just a handful of laps remaining en route to his third feature win of 2018 while in the process, earning a starting spot in the Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup in July. Michael Norris survived an opening lap flat tire and made his way to the front of the the field in the Precise Late Model feature and looked to be in command of the field. However, Jared Miley was in the field and got better as the race went along, moving forward from his 12th starting spot while finding the perfect opportunity to take the win from Norris with a pass lap 23 pass for his second victory this season at Lernerville. The win gave Miley an automatic starting spot in next week's Firecracker 100.
Rex King Jr. overtook a very determined John Mollick on a late race restart and held off an oncoming Brian Swartzlander en route to his second straight feature win in the Diehl Automotive Big Block DIRTcar Modifieds, while in the Millerstown Pic-A-Part DIRTcar/RUSH Pro Stocks, Corey McPherson drew the pole and was perfect in clean air throughout 20 laps as he wound up in Terry Bowser Victory Lane for the second time in 2018.
