Sarver, PA (June 14, 2018) Each pass for the lead means a good deal more on a night where the winners will be rewarded with a little something extra on the line, and that fact should help produce even more in terms of thrilling finishes at The Action Track. This Friday night, four feature winners, will be getting four tickets punched to some fantastic events on the 2018 calendar as our Mid Season Championship Night presented by McCutcheon Enterprises takes center stage at The Action Track.  And with that said, there should be some tremendous battles for those wins which will grant automatic qualifiers for each division.

The Peoples Gas DIRTcar Sprints winner will receive a starting spot to the Don Martin Silver Cup in July while the Precise Racing Products DIRTcar Late Model main event winner will start in the Firecracker 100 next Saturday night.  The Diehl Automotive DIRTcar Big Block Modified feature winner will receive a starting spot in the annual Steel City Stampede and the Millerstown Pic-A-Part DIRTcar/RUSH Pro Stock winner will find themselves a guaranteed starting spot for the annual Autumn-Motive Fest in September.

Flick Now On Top Of Peoples Gas Sprints

With two feature wins in five tries and very consistent heat finishes throughout the season, AJ Flick now finds himself back on top of Sprints and headed towards another track championship as the midway point of the season approaches. Flick currently holds a three point advantage over George Hobaugh Jr. and a nine point edge over third running and 2016 track champion Jack Sodeman Jr. While a win for Flick and Sodeman would surprise nobody, they'll both have to be on the lookout for Brandon Matus who nearly stole a victory from Logan Wagner last Friday night and looks primed to capture his first Lernerville win in quite some time. They'll also have to keep a sharp eye on Hobaugh who could be due his first career win and Dan Shetler who has picked up speed over the past few weeks and looks to be hitting his stride.

Maresca Joins Norris and Company

The young and talented Mike Maresca looks to make stop at The Action Track on Friday night for some seat time in preparation for next week's Firecracker 100. And, he'll be chasing a red hot Mike Norris who has shown no signs of slowing down, or of not losing the rest of the way perhaps in weekly action. There is simply no way to describe the grip he has had on the weekly field to this point of the year. Maresca has had his share of good moments in Super Late Model action in 2018 at the national and regional level and will be one to watch on Friday night.

Swartzlander Looks To Move Past Heartbreaking Finish

Rex King Jr earned last Friday night's win and then some as he started on the front row, lost the lead not only once but twice and got it back just in the nick of time en route to his second feature win of 2018. However, perhaps the fastest car on the track was the famous red and white #83 of Brian Swartzlander who looked to have the win all but locked away when a flat tire ruined his evening with just a handful of laps remaining. He'll be looking to take his second win of the season this Friday as he currently sits in fourth place behind points leader King Jr who currently enjoys a 24 point lead over second running Garrett Krummert who is still looking for his first Lernerville win of 2018.

Throw A Blanket Over Pro Stocks

The trio of Tyler Dietz, Corey McPherson and Noah Brunell are separated by a mere five points and after Brunell's convincing win last Friday night, all three of them have at least one victory thus far. The battle appears to be headed to go down to the wire in August for the track championship, while behind them, a much improved Ryan Moyer has been making a case to make it a four way battle for wins if not for the title. The veteran pilot has now put three of his first five finishes in the top five, including a second place run several weeks back.

Pit gates will be open at 4 PM with grandstands opening at 5 PM and racing set to start at 7:30 PM sharp. Adult grandstand admission is $15, $12 for seniors, $10 for students ages 11-17 and children 10 and under are free. Pit passes are available for $25 for DIRTcar members and $30 for non-members. We look forward to seeing you there.
