Rehearsal Complete- Opening Night Next on Lernerville Agenda

The sound of thunder filled the air at Lernerville Speedway on Tuesday as the first practice of the 2017 got underway with the action continuing under the lights that lent itself to a race night type atmosphere.
The Fab Four Divisions, presented by Turners Iced Tea were represented well, while a few surprises stopped by for some extra practice including World of Outlaw Late Model points leader Brandon Sheppard in the Rocket House car, and 1993 track champion Tim Shaffer as well.

In the Peoples Gas DIRTcar Sprints, Shaffer, Danny Holtgraver, and Carl Bowser all turned up to turn some hot laps while former Sportsman Stock driver Sadie Siegel turned her first laps in a Sprint Car at the action track and looked smooth in doing so. Meanwhile, in the Precise Racing Products DIRTcar Late Models, Alex Ferree and Michael Norris joined Sheppard as three of the fastest cars of the night.
The Diehl Auto DIRTCar Big Block Modifieds were represented by all time feature winner Brian Swartzlander and augmented by Shawn Fleeger, Mike Turner, Shawn Kozar and rookie Doug Doubt Jr. while the Millerstown Pic-A-Part RUSH/DIRTcar Pro Stocks saw Corey McPherson, Noah Brunnel, Brett McDonald and a host of other weekly drivers take to the speedway.

Both RUSH Late Models and RUSH Sporstman Modifieds were in action with several competitors apiece which fleshed out the program of rotating hot laps. Â The RUSH Sportsman Modifieds will be in action this Friday night as they join the Sprints, Modifieds, and Pro Stocks as Opening Night 2017 commences.
This Friday, pits will be open at 3 PM while the tech area will be open to drivers starting at 3 PM as well while grandstands will be open at 5 PM. Racing begins at 7:30 PM sharp.
