[b SEBASTOPOL, CA 6-13-10] - Local fan favorite Bradley Terrell of Sebastapol returned to his home track of Petaluma Speedway Saturday night to continue his quest to maintain the All Pro Series point lead in the winged sprint car division. While his second win of the season still managed to elude him, Terrell maintained his strength in the standings with a strong third place finish in the 25-lap feature event.

"It was a tough night for all of us with the track conditions and the way it was prepped,," said Terrell. "We shook down our new triple x chassis. We didn't get much passing in though. It went one lane and you finished pretty close to where you started."

In qualifying Terrell turned a lap time of 13:169 on the 3/8 mile oval. In the 8-lap heat race he powered his family owned #43 Triple X sprint car to the fourth and was ready for the 25-lap feature event. Starting fourth in the field, Terrell quickly moved into the third position where he followed fellow point racer Camron Mendes and occasional visitor Bobby McMahan. With little resources to work with as far as a faster line on the track, Terrell finished the night in the show position.

"I gave it everything I could with what we had to work with out there," said Terrell. "The new car felt good, we had a few adjustments to make but it came together pretty well. We're looking forward the Civil War this weekend."

This Saturday, Terrell hopes to return to the Hoosier Tires Civil War Series. The traveling campaign for 360 sprint cars is making its solo appearance at the American Valley Speedway in Quincy.

So far this year Terrell has competed in all four of the Civil War events that have taken place. He ranks 8th in the series standings with two top ten finishes and a heat race win. Terrell is hoping to compete in all of the Civil War races in 2010.

"That's our plan, to hit all of the Civil War races," said Terrell, who, like many drivers is still seeking additional funding for the 2010 racing season. "The long haul races like quincy are tough on us but we're doing what we can. We're still looking for additional sponsorship for this year but it's tough in this economy."

While he seeks additional sponsorship, Bradley Terrell is grateful for his continued supporters for the 2010 racing, many of which helped out these past two weeks to get him prepared for the All Pro Series opener. Among his marketing partners are Millhouse Glass, the Dry Creek Rancheria Band of Pomo Indians, Randy Hanson Auto Body and Paint. Vanlare Steering Repair, A1 Shower and Mirror Incorporated, Knockout Signs, Santa Rosa Moving & Storage, Altes Engineering, and 4 Wheel Parts.
