Lucas Oil Speedway 2024 Most Popular Driver voting underway online
WHEATLAND, MO. (Sept. 4, 2024) - As everyone knows, it’s an election year and Lucas Oil Speedway again is turning to its fans to determine this fall’s big winner - Most Popular Driver at Lucas Oil Speedway in 2024.
Fans are asked to cast their vote in online balloting once again to determine the speedway’s Most Popular Driver Award for the Big Adventure RV Weekly Championship Series. Voting has opened and will continue through Oct. 31.
Fans can cast their vote at LucasOilSpeedway.com/vote with the top 10 drivers in season points in the Arctic Food Equipment USRA Modifieds, Clear Creek Golf Cars USRA B-Mods, Hermitage Lumber POWRi Late Models and O'Reilly Auto Parts USRA Stock Cars.
One vote per valid email address is permitted. Fans also can submit a write-in vote if they choose.
Winner of the award will be announced at Lucas Oil Speedway's Postseason Awards banquet later this fall. Details on the banquet will be announced in upcoming weeks.
Mitchell Franklin of Camdenton, in the B-Mod division, won Most Popular Driver balloting in 2023. He just qualified for the voting again by finishing 10th in the season points of his class.
Hockett-McMillin Memorial next: Lucas Oil Speedway is off this weekend off before kicking off a busy stretch of special events, beginning with one of the nation’s most-prestigious shows for sprint-car racing. The 14th annual Jesse Hockett-Daniel McMillin Memorial is set for three nights of racing, Sept. 12-14, for the POWRi 410 Sprints and the POWRi WAR Sprints.
The Hockett-McMillin Memorial recognizes the legacy of Jesse Hockett, from Warsaw, Mo., who was a star in both the winged and non-wing sprint divisions when he lost his life in a shop accident in 2010. His cousin and crew chief, Daniel McMillin, was killed in an automobile accident in 2006.
